new google pagerank (PR) update
So as of 29th September there is a new google pagerank (PR) update underway.
Pagerank is the score that google gives to each page of your website. It is not necessarily how you will rank in the search engine results pages - just a score as to how important google thinks your page is. And it is page specific.
Generally it’s worked out on the volume and quality (mostly quality) of the links that come into that page whether from other sites or from your own site. You can check your PR on all the known data centres here http://livepr.raketforskning.com/ - just be a little patient and let it roll. If your PR is changing you’ll see different values on all of the datacenters because not all will have the update on there as yet.
But be warned - although PR is probably good for selling links it does not mean that you will have good rankings. Sites that even have PR5 and above may not even rank depending on how the page rank was obtained and the quality of the links into each page.
