correct url structure
Even if you have the right keywords to target you also need to ensure that the url of your page is set up for the maximum benefit for the search engines.
The best way for a three word phrase is to set it like yourdomain.com/category/keyword1-keyword2-keyword3.html
Or instead of an html page call it a directory (then the page would be index.html in that directory but you would just link to the directory) eg: link to yourdomain.com/keyword1-keyword2-keyword3/ and not yourdomain.com/keyword1-keyword2-keyword3/index.html
Google have said that they knock points of the value of a page for the amount of dashes in the URL so a domain like - cheap-money-personal-loans-uk.com is not thought of as highly as personal-loans.com so be careful. Three keywords is probably a good limit with 2 dashes. It maybe better not to have dashes at all and just to put all the words together because the search engines can work out words within a word, eg: in personalloansuk the search engines know there are three different words there.
Dashes to a search engine are treated as spaces but an underscore is treated like a character, so the phrase personal_loans is treated as one complete word whereas personal-loans is treated as two words but the dash is effectively discarded.
I have seen search engines rework this recently in that they are now discarding the underscore and understanding the different words between the underscore so this may be less of an issue these days.
So for correct url structure ensure you have your keywords with the url and directory.
